Atlantic Aero increases hangar capacity by 25,000 sq. ft.

Greensboro, NC October 16th, 2009 – Greenwich AeroGroup’s Atlantic Aero has increased its service center hangar capacity by 25,000 square feet. The freshly renovated clear span facility also includes an additional 6500 sq. ft. of space for offices and support shops. The addition of this hangar brings the total MRO hangar capacity to 80,000 square feet.

“With the help of Greenwich AeroGroup, we were able to invest in the facility and it turned out beautiful” commented Jim Spinder, President of Atlantic Aero. “This is the largest hangar on our service center campus, capable of comfortably housing up to 4 Challenger/Falcon 2000 size aircraft for heavy maintenance or major retrofits” he added.

The renovated hangar officially opened for business on Friday October 16th, 2009 and is immediately available for customer maintenance and modification projects. “Greenwich AeroGroup is committed to providing its businesses with the right assets to take care of our customers” commented Jim Ziegler, CEO of Greenwich AeroGroup.
