April 2001 - Atlantic Aero Receives Parts Manufacturer Authority (PMA) For Learjet 60 Stang Fairings

Atlantic Aero, Inc., in conjunction with its sister company, Aero Modifications & Consulting, LLC, (AAI/AMC) announced Supplemental Type Certification (STC) and Parts Manufacturer Authority (PMA) for replacement stang fairings on Learjet 60 series airplanes. The stang fairings (four per aircraft) are part of the engine nacelle units and serve to streamline the thrust-reverser actuators. These fairings were designed and engineered by Aero Modifications & Consulting as replacements for the all-metal original parts. A shipset of these new components are 50 percent lighter than the original fairings. The parts are fabricated with advanced carbon/epoxy prepare material and are mounted to the airframe with a series of titanium bushings. These components are manufactured in Atlantic Aero’s recently expanded composite fabrication facility in Greensboro, North Carolina.
